William De Vijlder is the Group Chief Economist, BNP Paribas
After starting in 1987 in the Economic Research Department at Belgium’s Generale Bank he joined the Asset Management division in 1989. He was subsequently Managing Director and Global Chief Investment Officer at Fortis Investments. When joining BNP Paribas Investment Partners in 2010, he became CIO and member of the Executive Committee. Since September 2014 he is Group Chief Economist of BNP Paribas.
William has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Ghent (Belgium). He has been a senior lecturer in Finance and Economics at the same university since 1991.
Since 2008, William maintains a blog on which he regularly comments on the economic and market environment. He is also active on Twitter and in 2014 he has been selected to become one of the 500 LinkedIn Influencers worldwide.

Sirkku Markula has been in her current role as SVP Corporate Treasurer with KONE since 2009. KONE is one of the leading global elevator and escalator companies with revenues of approximately 8 billion euros. Sirkku is responsible for the KONE Treasury activities in approximately 60 countries including bank relationships, cash and liquidity management, financial investments, foreign exchange, funding and bank guarantees. Before joining KONE Sirkku has an extensive career in Treasury: 1990-2000 various roles with ABB Treasury Centers; 2000-2003 Manager with Accenture Financial Services and 2003-2009 Corporate Treasurer in Orion Corporation in pharmaceuticals.

’ Sami Somerkallio joined Wärtsilä Corporation’s Group Treasury in 1997 and has held different front- and middle-office positions since. In his current position as Director, Group Treasury his main responsibilities are the financial risk management and liquidity management for the Wärtsilä Group. He is also involved in the long term funding and bank relationship management for the Group. Mr Somerkallio received his MSc (Accounting & Finance) in 1994 from Turku School of Economics (University of Turku).’

Sirpa Nordlund is SVP at Nets, which is a leading provider of digital payment services and related technology solutions across the Nordic region. She is responsible of one of Nets key bank accounts, as well as driving mobile financial services. Sirpa was formerly the executive director of Mobey Forum, a global industry organization empowering banks and other financial institutions to lead in mobile money.
Sirpa is an experienced leader at telecom and finance industry. She has experience in several positions in general management, including sales, strategy, business development and finance at Nokia and Venyon, a subsidiary of Giesecke & Devrient which provided trusted mobile services for financial institutions.
Sirpa holds a Master of Science degree in economics from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, majoring in finance. She also has advanced studies in classical music at Sibelius Academy (University of Arts), majoring in piano and voice.
Ms. Nordlund has held the position of SVP, Key Account Director at Nets since February 2017.

Jouni Liimatta has worked in his current position as Head of Liquidity Management Advisory since 2014. He is responsible of advising Nordea Bank’s Corporate and Institutional customers on Liquidity management topics including Short-term investments using deposits, commercial papers, bonds and investment funds. He and his team aims to create tailor-made Liquidity management solutions for each customer so that it fulfils company’s unique needs. Jouni started his career at Nordea Bank in 1999, when he joined MeritaNordbanken’s Group Treasury to work with short-term funding for the bank. He moved to Nordea Markets in year 2000 to work as a Senior Controller and in 2003 he moved on to Nordea’s Commodities Trading department and worked as Global Head of Commodities Trading in 2011 – 2014 in Oslo, Norway. Mr Liimatta received his Master of Social Sciences degree (Economics) in 2000 from University of Turku.

In 2010 Per started PasswordsCon, the worlds first and only conference on passwords and digital authentication.
